Heli Hiking & Photo Tour

This is a fantastic way to enjoy the stunning beauty of the Chugach Mountains. With dozens of incredible high-alpine locations and glacier landing areas ideally suited for heli-hiking, this helicopter photo tour provides many options to meet your interests, preferences, and photography goals. You can land and hike an alpine slope in view of glaciers or land on a glacier and spend time exploring the ice. After a quick gear check, we pack up our lunches (included) and board the helicopter and whisk you to the location of choice. Your guide will help you out of the helicopter, which leaves and heads back to the lodge leaving you in silence. Then you and your guide spend 4 hours exploring and photographing.

Winter Dogsled Tour

Enjoy a scenic helicopter photo tour that takes you over the mountains to Willow, where you land right next to the dog kennel. After a short introduction at the campfire you’ll be outfitted with cold weather gear while the dogs are being harnessed. Your musher/guide will meet you and prepare you for the tour where you will have an option to mush your own team. You can also choose to sit back and relax with a mushing guide in control of the team. After returning to the kennel there is some more time to visit with your dog team and take pictures with them before heading back to the big city by helicopter. If you only have one day in Alaska it’s hard to imagine a better adventure!

Summer Dogsled Tour

The classic Alaskan adventure allows you to drive a sled-dog team on real snow in the middle of summer surrounded by amazing scenery. You adventure begins with a spectacular helicopter ride over glaciers and icebergs. Land on a huge snow field high on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with Alaskan sled dogs and their mushers who live here all summer long. you can mush your own dog team if you want, or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team. After mushing you can meet the canine athletes, listen to stories about running sled dog races, meet the puppies and of course take pictures with your favorite dogs. After the tour the helicopter takes you back to the lodge and you’ll fly over the lower glaciers where you can see the blue melt pools and the crevasses. Overboots are provided so your shoes stay dry, and there are some extra jackets and warm gear available to borrow. View tour video.
