EXPERIENCE ALASKA
Alaska Photo Workshops
We at Alaska Photo Treks proudly operate on the traditional and present homelands of the Eklutna Dena’ina Athabascan people, one of 229 federally recognized tribes in Alaska. We are grateful for the stewardship of the land, fish, and mammals of this region by the Dena’ina people for the last several thousand years. Alaska Photo Treks is committed to recognizing and celebrating the culture and language of the Dena’ina people.
Anchorage is one of the air crossroads of the world, welcoming people from across the globe. This makes us one of the most culturally diverse cities in the United States, with Mountain View being named the most culturally diverse neighborhood in the United States. Our elementary, middle, and high schools routinely make the list of most culturally diverse schools in the country. Some 112 different primary languages are spoken by students in those schools.
We are incredibly proud of our diverse community, and we embrace diversity. We strive to create an environment where our employees and our guests together can have the best experience, regardless of age, sex, race, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity, political belief, or country of origin. We want our community – our Alaska – to be a place where people can be truly welcome to visit or live, and to enjoy all that Alaska has to offer.
When we all treat each other with dignity, we are all better off.
